In 1953, Arthur Miller released The Crucible, a play dramatizing the events of the Salem witch trials. In 2018, Aaron Sorkin used it as a framework to tell the story of Molly Bloom, a woman known for running poker games, falsely accused of laws she didn't break but unwilling to tarnish her name to avoid punishment.
